2. Samsung: “Movie Magic”

If you watched the Oscars, you might have seen this humorous commercial from Samsung air during the show. Samsung’s latest advert centers on a female amateur director who decides to shoot an epic movie in her own home, casting friends, family and people who happen to walk in. The spot “Movie Magic” has garnered 10 million views on YouTube.

3. KIIS 1065: “Surprise Giveback for Deserving Mum”

The Kyle and Jackie O Show is a popular radio show on KIIS 1065 in Sydney, Australia. During a recent #Giveback segment, the hosts decided to surprise a woman, but instead of calling her, they spoke to her directly through the radio. The video has been watched over 5,000,000 times on YouTube.

4. Adobe: “25 Years of Photoshop”

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Adobe Photoshop, agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners partnered with Adobe to promote the software during the 87th Annual Academy Awards. The ad, entitled “Dream On”, includes references to movies like Gone Girl, Avatar, and How To Train Your Dragon 2. Total views on YouTube: 1.4 million. Total social shares: 73,091.

5. Apple: “Make a film with iPad”

Last but not least: Apple’s “Make a film with iPad” clip. Ahead of the Academy Awards, Apple released a new video celebrating how iOS devices can help filmmakers. The clip, narrated by Martin Scorsese, shows student directors from Los Angeles County High School. “Make a film with iPad” has garnered 1.1 million views on YouTube.
